Persephone’s Posey™ 💐 💀 💐 Mythica Blend
A lush, fruit-and-flower herbal infusion inspired by Persephone of Greek mythology—maiden of spring, bride of Hades, and Queen of the Underworld. Hers is a story suspended between seeming contradictions: life + death, blossom + decay, innocence + sovereignty, descent + return. Was she stolen into the realm below, or did some part of her choose its darkness? Is the pomegranate a symbol of captivity—or her claim to a kingdom that became her own? Retold for millennia, her myth remains forever liminal: belonging wholly to neither world and powerful in both.
Black Mission figs create a deep, honeyed foundation, while sumac, hibiscus, rosehips + beet root bring tart, jewel-red brightness reminiscent of the pomegranate seeds that sealed her fate. Oats and cornsilk soften the cup in homage to Demeter—goddess of agriculture, grain + harvest, and Persephone’s heartbroken mother. Passionflower, lavender, rose petals + poppy seed bloom into a wild posey, evoking the maiden’s blossoms and the peculiar wedding of life to death.
Spearmint carries a trace of her fiercer side—a nod to Minthe, a nymph enamored of Hades whom, in one telling, Persephone transformed into fragrant mint. Its cool green note echoes rivalry and the formidable authority of an Underworld queen. Dandelion root, parsley + rosemary add earthy depth, drawing the garden downward into shadowed soil.
The flavor moves between worlds: jammy fig gives way to tart, pomegranate-like fruit, cooling mint, gentle grain, grounding roots + soft florals. Built on contrast, the cup is lush yet shadowed, fruitful yet delicate, sweet yet sharp.

Persephone’s Posey™ is a tea for the places where opposites meet.

Find the cup of tea that feels like yours—everyone prefers a different balance of softness and boldness, so play and explore.
Steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea, covered, in 6–8 oz of boiled water for about 7 minutes. For a stronger cup, steep a little longer or use more tea; for a lighter infusion, reduce the steeping time or amount. Every palate is different, so we encourage you to adjust the brew to your personal taste.
Use a fine tea sock or once steeped, strain through a fine mesh strainer, as some botanicals in our blends are intentionally very small and may pass through larger strainers.
For iced tea, prepare the tea as directed above, then chill to your desired temperature before serving to avoid diluting the flavor with melting ice. If you'd prefer to pour the tea directly over ice, brew it stronger by using more tea, steeping it a little longer, or both, to account for the dilution.
Before measuring your tea, gently shake the pouch. Because our blends contain herbs, flowers, fruits, roots, and spices of varying sizes and weights, ingredients may naturally settle during shipping and storage.
To preserve freshness and flavor, store your tea in a cool, dark, dry place, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
